What is the TV Associate Internet Drive-Thru pilot?

The TV Associate Internet Drive-Thru pilot is intended to centralize the most popular internet-ready web applications for those who wish to access them outside of the Toyota network.

Drive-Thru is an added convenience that provides users a simple interface to these applications from most internet browsers.

Why do we need the Drive-Thru?

We have received feedback from users expressing their desire to access these critical applications from a common interface through a web browser outside of work.

Also, the owners of these sites have expressed a need to create greater awareness to end users that their applications are accessible over the open internet.

How is the Drive-Thru related to Toyota Vision?

The Drive-Thru features the most popular internet-enabled applications that are currently available through Toyota Vision. However, it provides centralized access to these critical applications outside of work without requiring users to log into the TV network.

It is recommended that users that need to access these featured applications from work continue to do so through the Toyota intranet (Toyota Vision). Most of the featured applications on the Drive-Thru are still available from the TV intranet homepage.

TMS/TFS associates that are regular users of these applications with a desire to access the sites from browsers outside of their typical office setting (e.g. from their home.).

Drive-thru also features new technologies that may eventually be integrated into other applications at Toyota.
